Hunting season is upon us, so take care on the trails. The Forest Lea Tract is crown land so is open to hunting. Wear bright colours, and I suggest sticking to the front trails where there is less hunting. On the back/blue trails there are several hunting stands.
There is also some vandalism on the trails you should be aware of. Some ill meaning person planted broken beer bottles in the trail, shards pointing up, at the start of the Pines. There has been some other redneck problems with damage to the ski trails and ski cabin. If you see any suspicious activity, take a picture of the license plate of the vehicle.
